I can happily say that at least one former Washington Times sports staffer has landed a nice new gig.
Ben Goessling, who was a Nationals beat writer for the Times each of the last two years, has been hired by MASN to cover the team alongside Phil Wood and Byron Kerr.

This is a good hire for MASN, and I'm not just saying that because he's a friend. Nationals fans know he did a great job on the beat while with the Times and has a wealth of experience delivering news in print and on television.
It's also worth noting that he has a degree in accounting, though there is no truth to reports that he will provide tax tips to fans before and after all home games.
